Jackson County Man Arrested on Charges of Promoting, Possessing Child Pornography
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced a Jackson County man has been arrested on charges of possession and promotion of child pornography. Charles Aaron Paulk was arrested by law enforcement officers with the Attorney General's CyberCrime Unit with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
During a routine undercover investigation online, CyberCrime investigators discovered numerous images of child pornography and traced the images back to Paulk's computer. A search warrant was executed on Paulk's Marianna home and two computers were seized. The computers, as well as other digital media, will undergo additional forensic analysis to locate any additional images of child pornography. Some of the images on the computer were of children appearing to be no more than two years old and who were being forced to engage in sexual activity with adults.
Paulk, 23, will be booked into the Jackson County Jail and will be charged with 10 counts of promotion of child pornography, a second-degree felony, and 10 counts of possession of child pornography, which will be enhanced to a second-degree felony. Additional charges may be added at a later date.
