Orange County Inmate Charged with Child Pornography Possession
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced an Orange County jail inmate will be charged with possession of child pornography. Travis Robert Hederman, 25, was arrested on the new charges yesterday after investigators with the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit discovered Hederman had multiple images of child pornography saved on multiple CDRoms that were located in his storage unit. Hederman was already in the Orange County Jail awaiting sentencing for unrelated charges.
Hederman had failed to pay for his storage unit, causing his computer and other items stored in the unit to be auctioned. A Sumter County resident who purchased Hederman’s belongings reported the child pornography images to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, which notified the CyberCrime Unit. Investigators found images of child pornography on eight of Hederman’s CDRoms; some of the images were children as young as seven years old.
Hederman will be charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography, a second-degree felony. The agencies involved in the investigation are members of the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
