Taylor County Man Arrested on Charges of Possessing Child Pornography

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced a Taylor County man has been arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. Lavine B. Neal was arrested by law enforcement officers with the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit with assistance from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and the Perry Police Department.

During a routine undercover investigation online, CyberCrime investigators discovered numerous images of child pornography and traced the images back to Neal’s computer. A search warrant was executed on Neal’s Perry home and one computer was seized. The computer and other digital media will undergo additional forensic analysis to locate any additional images of child pornography. Some of the images on the computer were videos of children appearing to be no more than three years old.

Neal, 31, will be booked into the Taylor County Jail and will be charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony. Additional charges may be added at a later date.
